Habits that cause acne.

Hi guys! Okay...we already have so much stuff to deal with in our everyday lives. Acne issues just make it even more hard to deal with. Today I am going to talk about habits that we do that contribute or may cause acne.

What causes acne?
A. Acne is caused when the pores of your skin become clogged. These can be clogged by dirt, bacteria, and oil. Acne start when we hit puberty. Sometimes when our hormones start to change, our oil glands produce too much oil causing our pores to be blocked by the oil.

Here are habits that may be causing your acne.

1. Over washing and exfoliation of the face.

Sometimes when you wash or exfoliate too much, your body senses that the skin needs moisture. It will then tell your glands to produce more oil to moisturize your face.

2.Going to sleep with makeup on.

It is never good to sleep with your makeup on. Yes, I know that sometimes we get lazy or we completely forget. I admit that I have done this in the past, but when you sleep with makeup on your pores are being clogged with that day's grease and makeup. You need to let your skin breathe. During our sleep is when our skin repairs itself.

3. Cell phones
Cell phones have bacteria all over them. We tote them around wherever we go and place them on top of dirty counter or tables. If you have a touch screen, you are consistently touching the screen of you phone. Dirt, Bacteria, and oil is then carried from your phone to your face when you talk on it. A lot of acne along to jaw line is caused by your cell phone. You need to clean your phone with a disinfectant wipe on a regular basis.

4. Touching your face.

I know that when I am in class, sometimes, I will rest my chin on my hand. After awhile, I started noticing a lot of acne on that one side my face. When stopped this habit, the acne went away. The acne was caused from oil and bacteria on my hand.

Now even if you stop all these bad habits, You will still have some acne. That is how our bodies our made and we can't really stop it. These are just tips that may help control the issue a little bit. I will post a video soon about these habits and more. I hope this was helpful. =)
